We believe that Jesus Christ will restore people and this includes people who struggle with addictions. While addictions can be difficult to overcome, through Jesus there is hope for you to recover. Abundant Life Church is currently training staff and volunteers to help us minister to those who are struggling with addictions of all types. We plan to launch our recovery ministry by the end of summer. If you or anyone that you know is struggling with an addiction of any type, please contact us. Abundant Life Church would love to walk with you through the process of overcoming addiction.
Children and Youth
Life Kids
Life Kids is the name of our children’s ministry at Abundant Life Church. We have classes for children ages 3+. Life Kids meets on Wednesday evening at 7 PM and has engaging Bible lessons with crafts and projects. Biblical principles come alive in a loving, caring environment and kids thrive learning truths from the Word.
J10 Youth Group
J10
is the name of our youth group at Abundant Life Church. The name J10 comes from John 10:10
which says, "...I am come that they may have life more abundantly." The youth class is for ages 12+ and meets on Wednesday evening at 7 PM. During their time together, the youth class engages in a Bible lesson applied to modern life and fellowship with one another.
Bible Quizzing
Bible Quizzing is a fun program in which children and youth memorize large portions of scripture and recite the verses in a tournament format. Local tournaments are held monthly and there is a National finals tournament for the state tournament winners each summer.
Adults
Adult Bible Class Our adult Bible class meets on Wednesday evening at 7 PM and the lessons follow the same topics as our children and youth lessons. This allows parents to know what their children are learning each week and also provides an opportunity for easy family devotions.
Elements is our discipleship curriculum at Abundant Life. This discipleship class is taught in a small group setting that meets in homes throughout the community. The times and locations of Elements vary so if you are interested in our discipleship classes please contact us for more information.
Community Prayer Group
We have a group prayer meeting that meets at the church on Sunday at 10 AM. During this prayer group participants have the opportunity to bring specific needs to a group for additional prayer support.
Life Group Fellowship EventsWe have a group prayer meeting that meets at the church on Sunday at 10 AM. During this prayer group participants have the opportunity to bring specific needs to a group for additional prayer support.
At Abundant Life, we believe that life is better when we have meaningful relationships with others. One way that we cultivate the building of real relationships is through planned monthly fellowship events. Typically we meet in the evening of the last Sunday of each month. These events and locations change monthly so please contact us if you are interested in connecting with a Life Group.
Men's and Women's Ministries
Our men's and women's ministries each host a monthly prayer meeting with a meal and fellowship time afterwards. In addition to our monthly prayer and fellowship meetings, we also have several fellowship events that we host and conferences that we attend together throughout the year. Independence Village Worship Service
Abundant Life Church hosts a monthly worship service on the third Sunday of each month at the Independence Village
assisted living facility in Waukee. During this service, our team members provide worship music and an inspirational Bible message for the residents of the community. If you would like to attend with us or would like to volunteer for this ministry, please contact us.
Personal Bible Study
We believe that one of the most effective ways to connect you to God, His Word, and His church is by completing a personal Bible study. Personal Bible Studies can be taught in your home, at the church, or in a coffee shop. Our church leadership will help you learn the Word of God in a time and place that is convenient for you.
